From Finca El Porvenir in Palestina, Huila, this Colombian coffee (Caturra) is grown at 1,550–1,700 m on a 6-hectare farm managed by Sandra Milena Mora. The beans undergo a structured washed process with an initial 36-hour fermentation in GrainPro sacks, depulping, a second 60-hour fermentation in ceramic tanks, a 12-hour rest, and gentle drying on raised beds. The roast (OMNI) is suitable for both filter and espresso, with tasting notes of dark chocolate, caramel, and a fine berry fruitiness.
Founded in 2015 by Tobias Stehle and Michael Menrad, District Five operates as Ingolstadt's first specialty coffee roastery. The production facility sits in nearby Manching. The roastery maintains direct relationships with South American producers and holds organic certification.
