This is a washed coffee from the Taypiplaya community in Caranavi province, Bolivia's largest coffee-producing region. The lot was purchased from 40 families in 2023. Taypiplaya is one of the biggest communities in Caranavi with a 2012 census population of 1,983 people. The coffee is shade grown and produced using traditional washed processing methods. Producers typically have 2-3 hectares and harvest coffee cherry which is transported to centralized washing stations for processing beginning in the early morning hours. The coffee is depulped and washed following Good Agricultural Practices that were introduced through international development investments.
