This natural processed coffee is from Bombe Duwancho in Bensa, Ethiopia, produced by Basha Bekele and approximately 100 small farmers. Located at 2,300 meters altitude, Duwancho is among the highest-altitude washing stations in Ethiopia. The coffee is 74158 Heirloom varietal with flavor notes of blood orange, Aperol, and pear. The high elevation contributes to exceptionally dense seeds and vibrant, layered flavor profiles. Producer Basha won first place at the Ethiopian Cup of Excellence with this coffee.
Founded by Greg Lanctot and Jessie Lewin, rising stars in Montreal's coffee scene who roast micro and nano lots. With head roaster Jessie leading the vision, they believe all coffees should be drunk with excitement, sourcing some of the most adventurous varietals and processes in the coffee landscape.
