This is only the second coffee we've featured from Tanzania and it reminded us of why we fell in love with the first one. This often overlooked origin has the potential for superb quality and this example is beautifully structured and clean. We taste sweet summer fruits like strawberries, with juicy citrus notes and a richness like milk chocolate. This is one we can't stop brewing in the roastery.
Plot Roasting is a specialty roastery in Woolwich, London, built around precision, transparency, and traceability. They can tell you exactly who grew each coffee, which farm it came from, and often the exact harvest day. The range is tiered by cup score: Competition Series lots scoring 90 and above, Microlots at 88 to 89, and Specialty at 80 to 87. Processing methods run from anaerobic fermentation and carbonic maceration to thermal shock. Long term producer relationships are central to the model, and the team spans expertise in agriculture, logistics, engineering, and roasting. Plot also runs a coffee school and treats wholesale partners as collaborators.
