Miga Coffee Roasters was founded by Wojciech Kaminski, an Arabica Q Grader and World Coffee Events judge, in Racibórz, Poland, bringing a level of formal sensory expertise to a small city roastery that operates with the environmental consciousness of a much larger organization. The roastery operates on a 15 kilogram Giesen machine and maintains a quality lab equipped with moisture, density, and color measuring instruments, a setup that allows Kaminski to apply the same analytical rigor to everyday production that he brings to his work as a competition judge. Miga was the first roastery in Poland to use fully compostable coffee packaging, and installed an electrostatic filter to reduce smoke and odor from roasting emissions, commitments to sustainability that earned the operation a zero waste roasting philosophy that extends from sourcing through to the final product reaching the customer.
