Ethical Addictions Coffee Roasters
Ian Meredith and a friend founded Ethical Addictions in 2006 in Gloucestershire, driven by equal parts coffee obsession and concern for farmer welfare. The roastery sources directly from origin, with a long running relationship in Orera Village on the slopes of Kilimanjaro dating back to 2010, alongside partnerships in Brazil and Colombia. Transparency goes beyond traceability: the company publishes producer names and exactly what it pays, and was the first coffee company to achieve the Happerley Gold Standard, allowing consumers to see the farm and grower behind every core ingredient. A team of six handles roasting, packing, training, and roastery tours from their premises at Bamfurlong Industrial Park, where they moved in 2021 after fifteen years of steady growth.
