A fully washed Bourbon variety from Ngozi Province, Burundi, grown at an average altitude of 1,750 masl. Produced by women smallholder farmers who built and own Burundi's first women-owned washing station, established in 2019. Ripe red cherries are selectively picked, de-pulped, and dried on raised beds. Roasted for filter with an extended maillard phase, this microlot offers vibrant tangy acidity with fragrant orange blossom florality, juicy ripe apricot character, and a sweet molasses-like aftertaste.
Named after the ancient Roman name for Lisbon, Olisipo Coffee Roasters was founded by Antony Watson and Sofia Gonçalves with a mission to honor their city's history of exploration. They see themselves as modern-day navigators, exploring the world to source unique and high-quality beans from small, independent producers. Their roasting style is dedicated to showcasing the stories and distinct flavors of these origins.
