Sumatra Lake Toba Samosir Honey

Sumatra Lake Toba Samosir Honey

Blossom Coffee Roasters

About This Coffee

This honey-processed coffee is grown along the southern shores of Lake Toba in the Lintong Samosir district of Northern Sumatra. Produced by smallholder farmers from the Hutasoit tribe, the cherries are grown in volcanic loam soil at elevations between 1200 and 1400 meters. The coffee undergoes a unique process involving honey fermentation followed by the traditional Indonesian wet hulling method. This combination results in an earthy, full-bodied flavor profile characteristic of the region, while the honey processing adds a distinct nuance to the cup.
