About This Coffee

This specialty coffee blend consists of 60% Peru, 30% Brazil, and 10% Ethiopia. The Peru component is itself a blend of Chirinos (bringing depth and punchy body) and San José de Lourdes (adding sweet fruitiness and silky texture) from the San Ignacio province. The blend includes Brazil Santa Cruz for body and Ethiopia Guji Megadu, which is naturally processed and adds juicy nectarine sweetness. The coffee uses a combination of natural and washed processing methods. Flavor profile includes nectarine, maple syrup, and bourbon biscuit notes.

Spaceboy Coffee is a micro roastery in Edinburgh founded in 2021 by Finn Mclean, a chemist by training who became captivated by specialty coffee during trips to New Zealand and the American West Coast in 2014. After a decade working at well known UK roasteries, Finn spent two years building a custom roasting machine by hand, giving the setup unmatched flexibility where every parameter can be fine tuned. All coffees score at least 86 points and go through multiple test roasts before a final profile is locked in. The roastery sources high quality green coffee from Africa, South America, and Central America, and packages everything in 100% plastic free, recyclable or home compostable materials. Finn has no plans to open a café, choosing to focus entirely on roasting for other businesses and direct consumers.
