This coffee is a blend of Pluma de Hidalgo and Gesha varieties from San Agustin Loxicha, Oaxaca, Mexico, grown at an altitude of 1725 meters. The cherries undergo an initial fermentation of 24 to 36 hours before being pulped and washed. The flavor profile is delicate and elegant, featuring notes of clementine, maple syrup, and marzipan. This coffee is suitable for both filter and espresso brewing methods.
Founded in 2009 by Kaelin McCowan in a back alley in Dundas, Ontario, Detour Coffee Roasters was born from a passion for the craft. They started with a journey across the continent to pick up their first roaster and have since grown into a beloved brand known for their fun, approachable, and high-quality "friendly coffee".
