Kianjiru is a Kenyan espresso coffee grown at 1,800 meters on volcanic soils. It is traditionally processed and shows vibrant citrus and berry notes balanced with sweet caramel. The acidity is described as clear and juicy, while the body is full and silky, offering the intensity and complexity typical of top Kenyan lots.
Originally established in 2002 by founders Sascha Spittel and Robert Stock as Tres Cabezas and rebranded to 19grams in 2018, this Berlin-based roastery has been a pioneer in bringing specialty coffee to Germany when the movement was barely recognized in the country.
