Single-origin coffee from the Gayo region on Sumatra, grown at approximately 1,100 meters altitude. The beans are washed-processed and feature diverse varieties. Characteristics include fruity and soft notes with mandarin, honey, and cane sugar. The coffee is specifically roasted for espresso preparation, offering clear sweetness and fine fruit in the finish.
Founded in 2015 by Tobias Stehle and Michael Menrad, District Five operates as Ingolstadt's first specialty coffee roastery. The production facility sits in nearby Manching. The roastery maintains direct relationships with South American producers and holds organic certification.
