Kickback Coffee

About This Coffee

This coffee is a Honey processed Parainema from Santa Bárbara, Honduras. The honey process removes the skin of the coffee cherry while leaving a layer of mucilage on the bean during drying, combining fruit-forward sweetness with some clarity of washed coffees. Flavor notes include roasted hazelnut aromatics, delicate florals, syrupy sweetness and a dark chocolate finish.

Kickback Coffee

Kickback Coffee was incorporated in 2020 and roasts from a converted brickworks in Pott Shrigley, Cheshire, on the edge of the Peak District. The origin story involves a popcorn maker; the operation has since scaled to a team of over 20. They position themselves as adventure coffee, sponsoring athletes like Olympic rock climber Shauna Coxsey and Annasley Park, the ninth woman to row the Atlantic solo and unsupported. The roastery runs three café locations in Altrincham, Pott Shrigley, and Sale Moor. On the community side, they partner with Coffee4Craig, a homeless charity, and team member Alex ran over 200 miles from Macclesfield to London to raise funds.
