Fuglen Japan

Fuglen’s roots trace back to Oslo in 1963, where it started as a small café combining specialty coffee, Scandinavian design, and later a craft cocktail concept. In 2012, the brand opened its first overseas location in Shibuya, Tokyo, bringing its light‑roast Nordic coffee tradition and vintage furniture aesthetic to the Japanese capital. Two years later, Fuglen Coffee Roasters was established in Tokyo, enabling the team to roast beans in‑house with a focus on clarity, fruitiness and sweetness through the Nordic roast approach. Green coffees are sourced seasonally from around the world through transparent channels and careful partnerships, often working directly with trusted producers. By managing sourcing, roasting, and brewing under one roof, Fuglen aims to present coffee that expresses the unique character of each origin rather than creating blends.
