This coffee originates from the Gerse Kebele area in the Yirgacheffe region of Ethiopia, grown at 2200 meters above sea level. It features heirloom and landrace varieties grown under local shade trees including Wanza, Girar, and Weyira in clay soil. The coffee undergoes white honey processing, where beans are slowly pulped to retain minimal mucilage, then shade-dried for 4-5 additional days for controlled moisture distribution. The white honey process produces a yellow-white parchment appearance. The cup profile offers jasmine aromatics, ripe peach, and elderflower notes with a smooth, tea-like finish. This lot is produced at a washing station inherited by Mikiyas Bogale from his father in 2020.
