This coffee is from Finca Del Alba farm in the Sierra de Zongolica mountains of Veracruz state, Mexico, at 1400 meters above sea level. Founded by Edzon Meza, the farm uses natural composting and fermented organic fertilizers. The coffee is a Sarchimor variety, a hybrid of Costa Rican Bourbon Villa Sarchi and Timor. It is processed using the Honey method, with hand-picked cherries carefully selected and slowly dried on raised beds. This lot scored 87.78 points and placed 5th in the Cup of Excellence competition. The flavor profile features candied orange, pear, chamomile, high sweetness, caramel, and sugar notes with a structured, complex acidity.
