Banko Taratu is a washed coffee from the Gedeb area of Yirgacheffe, Ethiopia, grown at 1,900–2,300 meters elevation. Composed primarily of Ethiopian Heirloom varieties (74110 and 74112), the coffee undergoes traditional washed processing with extended or double fermentation (48–72 hours in water tanks) followed by slow drying on raised African beds. Tasting notes include yellow lemon, yuzu, bergamot, and peach on the aroma, with honey lemon juice, golden yuzu tea, peach Calpis, jasmine florals, and lychee on the palate. The flavor profile is delicate and refined with a smooth mouthfeel.
