This washed Gesha from El Refugio in Villamaría, Caldas, Colombia is an elegant, high-complexity filter coffee. It exhibits floral clarity with pronounced jasmine and bergamot notes alongside white peach, a silky mouthfeel, and a bright, terroir-driven character. Roasted for filter brewing, the coffee highlights delicate aromatics and a clean finish typical of carefully processed Gesha lots.
Originally established in 2002 by founders Sascha Spittel and Robert Stock as Tres Cabezas and rebranded to 19grams in 2018, this Berlin-based roastery has been a pioneer in bringing specialty coffee to Germany when the movement was barely recognized in the country.
