This Pink Bourbon coffee is from Finca El Placer in Quindío, Colombia, produced by fourth-generation coffee producer Sebastián Ramírez. The coffee undergoes a natural carbonic maceration process lasting 200 hours, where hand-picked cherries are sealed in airtight tanks with carbon dioxide to allow slow, even fermentation. This is followed by gradual drying in multiple stages—first in warmer conditions, then at lower temperatures. The processing method enhances floral aromatics, wine-like fruit notes, and a silky mouthfeel, with tasting notes of lavender, rosemary, and purple grape.
Fire and Flow was started by childhood friends Callum, Charlotte, and Phil in the Cotswolds, near Cirencester. The roastery won a GloucestershireLive Innovation Award in 2021 and placed second in Cotswold Eats' Best Producers awards. They consciously source specialty coffee through ethical partnerships with producers who maintain sustainable practices and fair wages. In 2024 they opened an espresso bar at the roastery, open seven days a week, with food served by The Yolk Folk. The team also provides wholesale partnerships, barista training, and equipment solutions.
