Seth Taylor Coffee

About This Coffee

This single-origin coffee is from Finca Terrazas del Pisque, a 38-hectare farm located in Ecuador's Pichincha region with 15 hectares planted in coffee. The farm produces almost 15,000 kg of specialty coffee annually. This lot features the Sidra variety grown at 2100 meters altitude. The coffee is washed processed, with cherries depulped, fermented for 36 hours, washed, and dried on raised beds for an average of 12 days. Harvested between May and August, it offers flavor notes of green grape, red apple, and honey.

Seth Taylor Coffee

Seth Taylor put his own name on this Montreal micro roastery, establishing a personal, hands on approach that extends from direct relationships with producers to origin travel and intimate cuppings. Starting as a pop up before settling in Mile End, the operation remains deliberately small, with limited production runs that prioritize quality over volume. Roasting is done in small batches with light to medium profiles showcasing origins from Ethiopia, Colombia, Guatemala, Kenya, and El Salvador. The roastery primarily operates as a production facility rather than a bustling cafe, supplying select Montreal specialty cafes through a focused wholesale program. A subscription service with personalized selections reflects Seth's belief that coffee is best when it carries the personal touch of someone who genuinely cares about every step.
