Code Black Coffee Roasters

About This Coffee

This single origin coffee comes from Buena Vista Farm in Vereda Chillurco, Pitalito, Huila, Colombia, at 1770 meters elevation. The farm is a fourth-generation family coffee project owned by Edier Perdomo, who has partnered with Cesar Lopez for six years through GLOP Coffee Company. The Pink Bourbon variety undergoes an experimental washed sequential process with mossto and cofermented yeasts. Ripe red cherries are handpicked, defect-removed through flotation, undergo 24 hours of controlled oxidation, depulped, then fermented for another 24 hours with Saccharomyces cerevisiae and natural yeast solution to impart red fruit characteristics. The coffee features flavor notes of fruit candy, grape, melon, and pineapple.
