This coffee is a micro-lot from Gitwe Hill in the Kayanza region of Burundi, grown at an altitude of 1,900 to 2,100 meters. It is a Red Bourbon variety processed using the natural method at the Heza Washing Station. The cherries are dried on raised African beds for over three weeks to ensure uniform drying. The flavor profile features the aromatic structure of black tea, vibrant notes of fresh apricot, and a finish of rich, chewy dried date. This coffee is roasted to a light level and is suitable for both filter and espresso brewing.
Founded in 2023, Strait Coffee is a small-batch, single-origin micro-roastery in San Jose, dedicated to highlighting terroir through clean-air, fluid-bed electric roasting.
