This micro-lot is a Red Bourbon variety from Gitwe Hill in the Kayanza region of Burundi, grown at an altitude of 1,900 to 2,100 meters. Naturally processed at the Heza Washing Station, the cherries are dried on raised beds for over three weeks. This light roast offers a refined, aromatic structure reminiscent of black tea, followed by vibrant notes of fresh apricot and a finish of rich, chewy dried date. It provides a balance of tea-like elegance and honeyed fruit complexity.
Founded in 2023, Strait Coffee is a small-batch, single-origin micro-roastery in San Jose, dedicated to highlighting terroir through clean-air, fluid-bed electric roasting.
