This coffee is from the Eldorado Farm in Ibiraci, Minas Gerais, Brazil, cultivated by Jean Faleiros at an altitude of 1000-1200 meters. The Catuai 99 variety undergoes a fully washed process, which is rare for Brazil where natural and pulped natural methods are more common. Roasted to a medium light level (2.5), it features gentle notes of papaya and blood orange in sweet-tart balance, with a lingering caramel sweetness and a syrupy molasses finish with complex aftertaste. The farm has over a century of coffee cultivation history and combines traditional farming with modern techniques.
