This is April's first-ever decaf coffee from Colombia, specifically from the Decaf de Caña co-op. The coffee is grown at 1200 meters above sea level and features Castillo, Caturra, and Colombia varieties that have been decaffeinated. It uses washed processing and is roasted to a medium profile that creates a rich and sweet character. The flavor profile includes milk chocolate, biscuit, and candied apple notes. This coffee is part of April's Sustainable Profile project, which focuses on creating more value for producers by buying larger volumes at prices set by farmers themselves to build long-term, sustainable partnerships.
Founded in Copenhagen by Patrik Rolf, the 2019 World Brewers Cup runner up, April Coffee Roasters has a clear vision: to progress the way we roast coffee. They take a highly controlled, product focused approach, aiming to create roasts that are sweet, transparent, and aromatic.
