Alter Ego is a dark-roast coffee from Costa Rica, sourced from the Santa Rosa area of Tarrazú and the La Obediencia family farm. The roast is well developed, leaving chocolate-brown beans with a syrupy, round body. Flavor notes include dark caramel, baker's chocolate and warm spice, with campfire and burnt-caramel character.
Founded 2007 by engineers-turned-roasters in Calgary, Phil & Sebastian sources exceptional single-origin beans via direct-trade, roasts meticulously in-house, and operates several cafés.
