Fritz Coffee Company was founded in Seoul in 2014 by five friends whose combined backgrounds spanned competition barista work, professional roasting, green coffee buying, and baking. Among them, Geunha Park had just won the 2014 Korean Barista Championship and went on to place 14th at the World Barista Championship that year. Head roaster Kim Do hyun oversees all production at the company's roastery in Paju, rotating the single origin lineup every two weeks and developing profiles that prioritize consistency across lots. More than 90 percent of green coffee is purchased directly from producers, a model that has scaled to supply roughly 850 business clients across South Korea. Fritz now operates five locations, four in Seoul and one on Jeju Island, and has become one of the most recognized names in Korean specialty coffee through its blend of sourcing rigour and a distinctly Korean visual identity.
