Noor Coffee

About This Coffee

Solveig is a house espresso blend featuring a harmonious mix of specialty coffees from Ethiopia, Brazil, and Colombia. This blend offers a flavor profile characterized by chocolatey notes, a fine fruitiness, natural sweetness, and a hint of nuttiness. It is specifically crafted to perform well as a straight espresso or in milk-based drinks like cappuccino and flat white. The coffee is roasted for espresso preparation and is suitable for use in portafilter machines, stovetop moka pots, and French press.

Noor Coffee

Noor Coffee is a micro-roastery and café in Hamburg-Winterhude, run by a founder whose path to coffee started in Syria and wound through several countries before landing in northern Germany. Everything is roasted in small batches. The lineup changes but tends toward coffees with character with releases like Solveig (chocolatey, smooth), Berhan (floral, round), and Carbonic 144, an Ethiopian Geisha processed with carbonic maceration that leans into tropical fruit. They also carry Yemeni and Colombian lots, including fermented processing styles that most roasters at this scale wouldn't touch. It's a one-person operation at its core with the founder handling roasting, sourcing, and often the bar. Noor uses 100% recyclable packaging and frames sustainability as a baseline.
