This is a washed Caturra variety coffee from Carmen Estate in Panama. Carmen Estate has been producing high-quality Arabica coffee for over 50 years, currently overseen by Jean Paul Jangenstein Wachter. The estate won Best of Panama in the Washed Category in 2023 with a record-breaking price. Coffee cherries are manually harvested by the Nôbe-Buglé indigenous people who are trained to select only bright red, fully ripe cherries. The farm follows agricultural practices focused on ecological awareness, including insect management, soil conservation, water resource protection, and ecosystem conservation.
