This rare anaerobic Maragogipe Natural from Nicaragua's highlands was grown by Bayardo Reyes at Finca San Jose de las Nubes using heritage seeds from his grandfather's original farm. The coffee was fermented in anaerobic barrels for 84 hours, sun-dried for 24 hours, and finished with tunnel drying for up to 28 days. Light roast with tropical notes of jackfruit, bubblegum sweetness, milk chocolate-coated raisin, bright lemon verbena, and acidic finish.
Augusto Carneiro, a Brazilian native, founded Nossa Familia Coffee in Portland, Oregon in 2004 after leaving an engineering career to pursue his passion for coffee. His familys connection to coffee cultivation runs deep: great grandfather and three brothers planted the familys first crop in Brazils highlands in 1890, establishing a legacy that spans over a century. The roastery operates Loring roasters and became Oregons first certified B Corp coffee roaster in 2016, achieving a B Impact score of 90.2, and holds Certified Organic certification by Oregon Tilth.
