GISANGA

About This Coffee

This coffee originates from the Mbuye Sector in Ruhango district, Southern Province of Rwanda, grown at 1,650-1,850 meters altitude on the Congo-Nile Divide mountain range. It is produced by 850 small farmers united under the Koakambu Cooperative, who work with the family-owned processing and export company Tropic Coffee Ltd, established in 2015. The coffee is processed at Gisanga Washing Station using advanced methods including anaerobic or natural fermentation. The cup is highly aromatic and elegantly structured with ripe melon and peach notes, complemented by subtle floral-tea elegance of oolong tea. The acidity is juicy and vibrant yet refined with fruity clarity. Sweetness resembles soft, rounded caramel giving the cup depth. The body is medium and silky with exceptionally clean structure. The finish is long-lasting, fruity-caramel with gentle tea-like dryness providing an elegant conclusion.
