This coffee is from Wonago Factory in Gedeb, Yirgacheffe, Ethiopia. Heirloom varieties grown at 1700–2200 meters are delivered to the factory and processed using a washed method involving pulping, fermentation, washing, and drying on raised beds. Tasting notes include jasmine, apple, black tea, honeysuckle, lemon, and bergamot, producing a clean, tea-like cup with bright acidity and layered aromatics.
Yew Meng, an engineer by training, began roasting in 2016 and opened Reframe Coffee Roasters in Penang's industrial Bayan Lepas district as a nano-roastery. In 2019, Yew Meng won the International Coffee Roast Master Championship Malaysia. His engineering background shows in the approach: methodical sourcing, controlled variables, obsessive attention to roast development. Origins rotate seasonally with filter brewing positioned as the primary method for experiencing single-origin character.
