About This Coffee

This peaberry coffee is from the Planalto da Bahia region of Brazil, grown at 950 meters above sea level by producers Fazenda Canaã and Fazenda Esperança. The coffee features Yellow and Red Catuai varieties and is wash-processed. Ripe cherries were handpicked and de-pulped, then fermented in tanks for 12-15 hours before sun drying. The micro-lot is identified as BRAZIL JAZBLU PEABERRY NY 2/3 SCR 10/11 2023. Flavor notes include chocolate and granola, suitable for espresso or pour-over preparation. Harvest occurs from July to September.

Food & Wine Magazine named them Best Coffee Roaster in the state in 2022. They roast in small batches with the goal of developing clean flavours that respect the work of farmers and producers.
